A Creative Wrap-Up
Community, Connection, Art and Sisterhood
As 2024 draws to a close, the IDB Family Association’s Art Club ended the year on a truly special note. It wasn’t just another workshop; it was a celebration of creativity, connection, and community—exactly what makes this group so unique.
Starting our Art Club’s workshop.
We were thrilled to welcome Gina Copanzzi, a talented and inspiring Jewelry artist from Delaplaine Art Center. Having met her last year, we knew we had to bring her to the club. And this week, we finally did!

Gina led us through a solderless necklace workshop, where each of us created a unique piece—a symbol of our “sisterhood.”
Sarah, Michal, Ana, Renata, Eugenia, Soledad, Lourdes and Jane.
It was more than just a creative experience; it was a chance to strengthen our bonds. Members helped each other, shared tools and techniques.
The room was filled with laughter, focus, 3 languages, and the joy of creating something meaningful together.
We were especially happy to have Sarah Mattos with us. Her busy schedule keeps her from attending our sessions, so frequently.
We also welcomed Michal, a new member who jumped right into the spirit of the Art Club, “making connections”. It was amazing to see her with us, adding her energy to the group.

As we wrap up this chapter, we reflect on what makes the Art Club so extraordinary. It’s not just about the art (though that’s a big part of it!); it’s about the community, the shared passion, and the chance to explore creativity in such a welcoming and supportive environment.
We’re taking a short break to enjoy the holidays with our loved ones, but don’t worry! The Art Club will return in February 2025 with fresh ideas and workshops for everyone. Stay tuned for exciting updates!
