The ideia is to have a beautiful hand made chain in copper at the end of this workshop.

Gel Printing Demonstration
Join us for a Gel Printing Demonstration presented by our volunteer, Jane Pilla.
Jane will show how she has been exploring innovative gel printing techniques using leaves, magazines, and acrylic materials.
This demonstration will showcase how to create stunning, organic forms that highlight the beauty of nature and offer unique ideas for home decor.
If you just want experimenting it - you will have the chance after the demo.

Open Studio continue Flowers and Patterns Workshop.
During our Open Studio Sessions, Art Club participants have the freedom to work independently and refresh the techniques they learned in the latest workshop.
These sessions provide an excellent opportunity to explore new ideas and experiment with different materials and methods.
On this specific date, we’ll be applying the techniques from the Flowers and Patterns Workshop with Irene Pantelis, held the previous week.
It’s a chance to delve deeper into the concepts and styles we explored, creating art in a more relaxed and open-ended setting.

Flowers and Patterns Workshop
Join us for the kick-off event of our Art Club with the “Flowers and Patterns” workshop! Led by our seasoned instructor, Irene Pantelis.
Bolivian-Uruguayan-American artist who creates work deeply influenced by her multicultural background and her connection with nature.
This time, students will explore the vibrant and expressive world of Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes. Using colored pencils, markers, and collage pieces on paper, participants will create abstract or stylized images of flowers inspired by Milhazes’s unique style.

Amazing Open Studio
Date: Friday, June 21st
Time: 12 pm to 2 pm
Location: Amazing Art Studio, 115 Crown Park Avenue ,Downtown Crown, Gaithersburg, MD
Join us this Friday, June 21st, at Amazing Studio in Downtown Crown, Gaithersburg, MD, for a special Art Club event before our summer hiatus.
We will gather at 12 PM and select there a piece to paint.
Once completed, these pieces can be picked up the following week, beautifully fired and colored.
You are free to make your own design, inspired to anything you want to express!
But if you need inspiration, we encourage you to have a look and choose a theme inspired by one of the women from the “Brilliant Exiles” exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery, which we can visit together later during the summer season.

We will meet this upcoming Friday to chat about “Nature in Xylography” - our 5th Exhibition at the Art Club - launched last Friday May 31st.
The ones who knows the technique and have their matrices, please bring it, so we can transfer them onto paper.
Let us know who is interested to participate and we will make a list of those in the practical part or just to watch the brief lesson about Georgia O’Keeffe.

Collage and Poetry Workshop with Liliane Blom
You are invited to join us for a Collage and Poetry Workshop with Liliane Blom - an installation artist, a classically trained painter and an award-winning photographer whose distinct style mixes her love of both media into a new one.
She will guide us through the art of mixed-media based on a poem verse or a line of a song lyrics either selected or written by the participants. Make sure to come with your inspirational piece written.
No artistic training is nedded
Some of the skills we will get is how to translate feelings into colors, shapes creating mixed-media pieces.
