Art, Friendship, and Connection Through 3D Flowers.
In our latest Open Studio last Friday, the group continued experimenting with 3D flowers in watercolor.
Through layering and depth effects, participants explored ways to bring floral compositions to life on paper.
See above contrasts in pale colors giving more of a dream-like aspect, but also strong and bold colors in an absolutely real context.
Open Studio Session March 21st,2025
The group was delighted to welcome Cintia Lima and happy to see all returning participants: Jane Pilla, Lourdes Telleria, Mabel De la Llana, Ana Britto, and Janice Kruse in person, with Eliane Dias joining online.
As they created their own cherry blossom festival on paper, they also enjoyed the plans to see in-loco the festival itself here in Washington, D.C., fostering friendship and artistic connection.
For those who missed the session, there is still one more chance!
This upcoming Friday will be the last Open Studio dedicated to exploring 3D flowers in watercolor, so for anyone interested in trying it, don’t miss out!
