Blooming Love

Preserving Floral Arrangements and Celebrating Motherhood.

Last Wednesday, May 8th, we had an IDBFA Special Event for Mother’s Day with the talented Vivian Vargas , who shared invaluable tips for preserving floral arrangements she taught us how to make. It was a day filled with learning and inspiration, and we're excited to share our accomplishments and these tips with you!

During the event, Vivian guided us through simple yet effective techniques to keep our floral arrangements fresh and vibrant for longer.

Here are the top tips she shared:

 1. Regular Stem Trimming: Trim flower stems at a 45-degree angle every few days to ensure optimal water absorption.

 2. Frequent Water Changes: Change the water in the vase daily to prevent bacterial buildup and ensure flowers receive fresh nutrients.

 3. Remove Submerged Leaves: Remove any leaves submerged in the vase water to prevent rotting and keep the water clean.

 4. Avoid Heat and Drafts: Position your floral arrangements away from heat sources and drafts to prolong their lifespan.

5. Use Floral Preservatives: Add floral preservatives to the vase water to nourish the flowers and extend their freshness.

We're grateful to Vivian for sharing her expertise and creativity with us. We hope these tips will be helpful for you too.

Happy Mothers Day, everyone!
