Color, Fun and Popcorn!

The Art Club hosted the last session of the semester until returning in September!

To celebrate differently, the group decided to hang out and explored the Downtown Crown area.

We went to Amazing Art Studio, Gaithersburg, MD. Not before some browsing and shopping at the stores around.

They welcomed the club warmly, offering popcorn, instructions, lots of color paintings and definitely fun!

After a few hours of creation, everyone left the studio happy! All eagerly anticipating the results after firing.

Lourdes Tellería: Painted on a ceramic seahorse tray, perfect for a coffee table. Lourdes told us she has found memories with her sister and seahorses, so she intends to give to her as a gift.

Mabel and Mariana: Designed with 4 hands, as a team work should do! They choose a jewelry box piece which could be filled out with love, by writing the names of their family members.

Fiorella Mendoza: Painted on top of a sunflower ceramic with summer colors. The piece has beautiful textures!

Jane Pilla: painted flowers inspired by one of the women from the “Brilliant Exiles” exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery.

Ana Brito: Painted a decorative plate with delicate flowers in blue tones. Absolutely refined for a beach house.

Bia Domont: Created an interesting artwork with spring flower details, very Monet-like in warm colors bringuing memories from her hometown Rio de Janeiro.

In the next couple of weeks,  we will have the final results!
