Abstract Mixed Media
“My backyard” by Teresa Roskiewicz
What?!
Is that too abstract for you?
Well, we in the Club consider abstraction one of the most challenging level in art concept.
The russian painter and art theorist, Wassily Kandinsky is considered the pioneer of Abstract Art. And as much of the artists of his times, he was also very talented, prolific, but unfortunately died in obscurity.
In 2012, the famous auction house Christie’s sold one of his pieces for $ 23 million.
Here, our “personal Kandinsky” (Teresa) shares with us a conceptual image of her backyard in Georgetown, a ‘borough’ in the District of Columbia.
