Mixed Materials

On March 10th, the Art + Design & Craft Club was reunited again to practice how to make mosaic.

It was very rich the usage of materials.

Jane decided to make her own “tesserae” using small blocks of air dry clay painted in gold, squared pieces of cork, painted cardboard. The last two with sparkles of glitter on top.

Teresa used colorful clay with small fake gems, making a very modern and cool mosaic

Fany opted for beautiful fine papers she bought in Lima, Peru.

Lourdes choose to keep her mosaic in mini blocks of paper.

Monica collected organic materials from her morning walking and brought a “pina” that she transformed into a flower.

Isabel used grains to recreate an exotic bird.
