How to reduce your still life painting to a point of being considered abstract?
If you want to know all about it, please join us on this wonderful experience with our guest teacher, Belen Sorzana.
Belen is an Argentine sculptor graduated at National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredon, in Buenos Aires. Her background includes drawing, textile design and studies at National School of Fine Arts in Paris and The Art Student League of New York. Her work can be seen at Watergate Gallery, in Washington DC - a 2 meter-tall metal sculpture cited by the Washington Post. Belen Sorzana has also artwork at the Spring Museum in Sandy Spring, MD.
During this class we will analyse one still life image to get to the main abstract lines of it, design and paint it in acrylic.
By the end of the class we can make analysis of the works and compare the different ways of abstraction that will result.
