Belen Sorzana is an Argentine sculptor graduated at National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredon, in Buenos Aires. Her background in arts integrates drawing and textile design courses other than a variety of international studies at National School of Fine Arts in Paris and The Art Student League of New York. Nowadays her work can be seen at Watergate Gallery, in Washington DC - a 2 meter-tall metal sculpture cited lately by the Washington Post. Belen Sorzana has also her work at the Spring Museum in Sandy Spring, MD.
During this class we will choose a picture of a landscape, we will analyse the image to get to the main abstract lines of it, choose our own design and we will paint it in acrylic using primary colors, to challenge the skills of mixing colors to get our own and unique result.
By the end of the class we can make analysis of the works and compare the different ways of abstraction that will result.
