Art in Confinement exhibition art piece by Jane Pilla

At this session we will be practicing more exercises, such as:

1. Tell a Story Through Surrealism

• Replace heads in portraits with animal or object, creating new perspectives.

• Use surreal elements to evoke humor or even deeper meaning.

2. Embrace Free Creativity

• Create spontaneously, letting intuition guide the process.

• Experiment with random designs and patterns.

3. Incorporate Personal Items

• Add tickets, notes, or small mementos to your work.

• Use these elements to tell a personal or collective story.

4. Experiment with a Variety of Materials

• Use inks, pens, markers

• Combine mixed media for rich textures and dynamic compositions.

Materials:

  • Modpodge or Glue

  • Brush

  • Watercolor Paper to be used as base

  • Magazines

  • Personal items, such as tickets, pictures any memento

  • Newspaper

  • Markers, Pens, Inks

  • Scissors

  • Or anything you want to bring for these projects
