One of our favorite places in this area is the Glenstone Museum in the outskirts of Potomac river.
Just the drive to reach there is already inspirational.
One idyllic trip overlooking to beautiful farms, pristine roads and unending wooded landscapes.
We had 12 tickets available, (at this moment, we have ONLY 5) so please whoever is intending to go, register yourself ASAP to reserve your space. Our intention is to meet up at the main entrance at 2 pm
We will have a time frame of 3 hours until museum closes the doors at 5 pm, and because it is NOT GUIDED TOUR, I would recommend a little research to know what artists and pieces you are interested to see at Glenstone Museum website .
On the Pavilions - where current exhibitions are - they have various artists, but I believe we should have a look:
At the Room 2 - there’s a Colombian sculptor, Doris Salcedo, who lives and work in Bogota. It’s her first exhibition in Washington DC area.
At the Room 6 - Arthur Jafa an American filmmaker who was awarded with the Golden Lion for best artist at the 2019 Venice Biennale.
Everyone is free to visit outdoors sculptures and others installations too, besides the permanent collection!! We will just have limited time, so feel free to choose what is best for you.
Anyway, Glenstone is always worthy for the ones who loves art and nature!
