New Technique with Acrylic

What a wonderful experience we went through today! We got to experiment painting in acrylic mostly, using aluminum foil!! Teresa Rozkiewicz brought this idea up to the group to watch the videos we shared in the last post. We started very timidly, but it turned out another exhibition by itself! Such great works together.

Teresa Rozkiewicz brought this idea up to the group to watch the videos we shared in the last post.

We started very timidly, but it turned out another exhibition by itself! Such great works together.

Laura drew the couple figure that the exercise suggested. But most of the artists preferred to focus only in the landscape.

Ana played like Monet’s style very beautifully done and well placed points.

Deidra brought up all the sunny life of a tropical country with very warm yellow on its sunset.

Eugenia went super fall inspired by her surroundings here in Montgomery County.

Fany played with a forest close to a beach with the sun rising.

Monica took the time to experiment a forest in watercolor, and it really worked beautifully.

Teresa used all her skills on textures. She placed a warm orange sunset on the horizon with very well thought brush marks on the tree trunks in brown.

Jane played at first on diluting water on top of the paper - BIG MISTAKE - it saturated the paper right in the beginning of the process. Lessons learned! With the guidance of Teresa, tips from Monica and learning from Ana’s pointillism and Eugenia yellow touch at the end, it turned out a nice composition.

An incredible experience!
