Back to Headquarters
What a wonderful return to IDB Family Association headquarters we had last Friday!
In October 15th we had the pleasure of a nice presencial workshop with an amazing artist Belen Sorzana.
The Art group was so happy to be meeting in person again - following all the protocols and guidance for safety - that we didn’t even bother to get stuck in traffic or to take public transportation to get there.
We had the joy of meeting in person Laura Domingues, a new member at the club and also the pleasure to have back Valentina Nunez for another season in the USA.

Belen started showing us some references of abstract artists such as Mark Rothko.
After that most of us chose one part of the landscape we would like to reproduce.
The majority of the participants went for the same image, except Teresa who decided another challenge - a nice landscape full of contrasts.
We drew mainly lines of the landscape with charcoal and from there we started painting.
Belen guided us on how to mix primary color to have our own pallet.
Red + Yellow + Blue = Black
As soon as we got our own black color we painted on top of the charcoal lines and begun to fill out the forms and shapes we were looking at.
The results are as usual astonishing!!
In so little time with the teacher and the art group made a great work again.
We can’t wait for the next opportunity to create together!
